In an immediate response to the invasion of Ukraine, Prague City Theatre started a project called Imagine UA. Through this project, our main ambition is to integrate artists who have had to leave Ukraine into professional and student projects, to offer them a platform for independent artistic creation and, last but not least, to provide scholarship programs and other forms of assistance to those who have had to stay in Ukraine for some reason. At all three MDP stages, as well as in other spaces facilitated by us, we have started the 1st Ukrainian season 2022/23 and are now working on artistic projects for the 2023/24 season.

Union des Théâtres de l'Europe gathered, in the last 3 decades, some of the most important European theatres and artists. Through festivals, exhibitions, exchanges, masterclasses, cooperation projects, the UTE help create a continuous flow between West and East, between generations, between tradition and innovation. Our celebration is inspired by this rich history. With the help of the Interferences International Theatre Festival, we wish to remember some of the best performances presented at past editions of the UTE festival and look forward to new horizons.
