Don Juan is an insatiable seducer, each of his conquests is a victory over his ultimate opponent, that is death. Is it possible to defeat death by love? Matthias Langhoff explores the different aspects of seduction and the way death can be accepted. Don Juan knows he only exists thanks to his ability to seduce, he commits all kinds of errors without ever giving up the pleasure to seduce. Inspired by Tirso de Molina, adapted by Molière, with a drop of Mozart and Da Ponte, and tinted with a little shade of Georges Bataille, Matthias Langhoff reveals his own perspective of Don Juan. The constant shift from text to music plays a crucial role. Inspired by Mozart's works, the music is composed by Katalin Incze G. and performed by the Wolfband - which was created for the occasion.
