Angélique Zaini


After a Master’s degree in modern French literature and a second master in FLE (French as a foreign language) at the Sorbonne University in Paris, she started a formation as an actress at the ESAD (Ecole Supérieure d'Art Dramatique de la Ville de Paris) from 2007 to 2010. Additionally she did several internships at theatre, music, pantomime and clown productions. She also took courses in opera singing and jazz and works with Haim Isaacs in vocal improvisation.

Since 2010, she has worked regularly in theatre with different companies.

In 2010 she played in Pina B. vue par… (Monte-moi ta Pina), a performance with 28 choreographers and directors, coordinated by Jeanne Candel at the Théâtre de Vanves. In 2012 she played in La Tempête (Tempest) by Shakespeare, directed by Philippe Awat; the performance was particularly staged at the MAC de Créteil and at the Théâtre des Quartiers d'Ivry. Since 2012 she has acted regularly for the company by Isabelle Starkier (À la Table de l'éternité / Du Côté d'Alice / Scrooge). She mainly works with young companies, recently with Les Vagues tranquilles for the performance Une journée chez Fukang written by Zhuoer Zhu, a text that was awarded at the Journées de Lyon des Auteurs de théâtre; the performance was staged among others at the Théâtre National de La Colline. In autumn 2015 she premiered in Ciel! Mon placard… by Nicole Genovese at Théâtre du Rond-Point.

She also collaborates with theatre collectives like Le Collectif Le Foyer with whom she produces a performance Manger des oursins about the oeuvre by Luis Buñuel.

She speaks French, English and German.
