The play explores individual responsibility. How do we react when our existence is, directly or indirectly, attacked? Is it true that in our attempt to set limits in order to protect ourselves and our relatives from the “others”, we become offenders instead of victims? Does racism and crime transform us into what we fear or hate most? Which loss haunts us more? Which loss is most threatening to our lives? Becoming an orphan or being abandoned by one’s own family.
