TWO NESTROY AWARDS FOR ARTISTS FROM THE VOLKSTHEATER WIEN

Vienna, the 3 November 2015: Actress Stefanie Reinsperger and director Dušan David Pařízek were awarded the Austrian Nestroy Prize. The award is presented annually by the Wiener Bühnenverein.


Actress Stefanie Reinsperger was awarded for her outstanding performance in Dušan David Pařízek’s production Die lächerliche Finsternis at the Viennese Akademietheater. The play by German playwright Wolfram Lotz has been awarded twice: for best German speaking performance and for best theatre play in 2015.


Actress Stefanie Reinsperger and director Dušan David Pařízek continue their successful collaboration with the Volkstheater: Nora³ directed by Dušan David Pařízek, which premiered in September 2015, is going to be shown several times in November and December at the Volkstheater featuring Stefanie Reinsperger as the lead character. Furthermore, three productions of/with the artists can be seen at the Volkstheater: Alte Meister by Thomas Bernhard directed by Pařízek premiered on 18 October. Stefanie Reinsperger can be seen in Anna Badora’s successful Viennese debut Fasching by Gerhart Fritsch.


On 24 Oktober the solo-performance Selbstbezichtigung starring Stefanie Reinsperger, written and directed by Dušan David Pařízek, premiered with great success at the Volx/Margareten, the second venue of the Volkstheater. Selbstbezichtigung can be seen next on 22 and 23 November at 9pm.
