Limitation of liability for internal content

The content of our website has been compiled with meticulous care and to the best of our knowledge. However, we cannot assume any liability for the up-to-dateness, completeness or accuracy of any of the pages.

Pursuant to section 7, para. 1 of the TMG (Telemediengesetz – Tele Media Act by German law), we as service providers are liable for our own content on these pages in accordance with general laws. However, pursuant to sections 8 to 10 of the TMG, we as service providers are not under obligation to monitor external information provided or stored on our website. Once we have become aware of a specific infringement of the law, we will immediately remove the content in question. Any liability concerning this matter can only be assumed from the point in time at which the infringement becomes known to us.

Limitation of liability for external links

Our website contains links to the websites of third parties (“external links”). As the content of these websites is not under our control, we cannot assume any liability for such external content. In all cases, the provider of information of the linked websites is liable for the content and accuracy of the information provided. At the point in time when the links were placed, no infringements of the law were recognisable to us. As soon as an infringement of the law becomes known to us, we will immediately remove the link in question.

Data Protection Statement

We as the Union des Théâtres de l’Europe (UTE) are pleased that you want to use our website. This data protection statement is intended to protect and inform the users of the UTE website about the services of third parties we use in accordance with the law, in particular the Basic Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), on the nature, scope and purpose of the collection and use of personal data by us, the UTE. The GDPR is a European Union regulation that harmonizes the rules governing the processing of personal data by private companies and public authorities across the EU. It comes into force on May 25, 2018.

1. Collection, processing and storage of data
i. Access Data
The UTE collects, uses, stores and transfers your personal data only if this is permitted by law or necessary for the purpose of contract execution or for billing purposes, we will use this to answer your inquiries and / or for technical reasons or you explicitly agree to the data collection. Your personal data will only be disclosed to third parties or otherwise transmitted, if required by law.
Every time you access the UTE website, access data about this process is stored in so-called log files on our servers. These log files contain the general information that your browser sends to us. These log files are made anonymous and are deleted from our servers after 3 months.

Additional personal data will only be collected if you voluntarily provide this information, for example in the context of a request or registration. The UTE reserves the right to retrospectively check the server log files should concrete evidence point to unlawful use.

You have the right to revoke your consent with effect for the future at any time. This may lead to the fact that we do not provide our services to the full extent.

2. Your rights as a user of the UTE website: You are entitled to free information, correction and deletion of your personal data. There is also a right of appeal to a competent supervisory authority acc. Article 55 (1) GDPR, if the user considers that the processing of personal data concerning him / her violates the regulation.

i. Right to information of personal data
As a user of our website, you have the right, on request, e.g. by e-mail, free of charge to obtain information about the personal data you have stored with us. In order to make sure that you are the requester, we need proof of your identity. This can be a copy of an official identity document. We use this copy solely for the purpose of identifying and processing your request for information. Please send your request for information stating your member name to or by post or fax to the contact details stated in our imprint.

i. Right to delete the stored personal data

The deletion of the stored personal data takes place within the framework of the legal requirements, as far as your desire does not conflict with a legal duty to store data, such as: For example, the data retention or the tax office requirements, financial data must be stored for 10 years. We maintain online presence within social networks and platforms in order to communicate with customers, prospects and users active there and to inform them about our services. When using the respective networks and platforms, the terms and conditions and the data processing guidelines apply to their respective operators.
